Hey there!
You may be wondering why my title is named what it is. Well, I live in a small city in Wisconsin that has a man-made dam and reservoir/lake. My family is currently in the process of moving to North Carolina, which is pretty great...
I have lived in my small town since I was born. It’s great on the outside with its gorgeous, bright homes by the lake and stable sub-divisions filled with picket fences and swimming pools, but then there are the homes that look like they should be in district 12. Or 13.... underneath there are boring people who think that every weekend should be consumed with beer, TVs, racing, and hunting and are all wrapped up in small town life. I would like to go to races to see what they're all about, but every weekend in the spring/summer? That takes passion which is something I don't have for the sport. My dilemma...
Don't get me wrong, there are the few who are over the small town scene (myself included... could you tell?). There are no real bistros or museums or any place to spend time having my idea of fun, but there are two McDonald’s and a Walmart. Yaaaaay.
Lucky for me, I didn't get the friends who are considered "boring". My town friends are so random and fun; every day I spend with them is different. Even if we just go riding around town--they make it interesting!

But anyways, to get out of this sad town, I graduated from my college prep high school a year early and headed out to an all-girls school in St.Paul, MN. That was a bust. So now I’m back and working at the local-owned grocery store’s deli and going to school so that I can make my next move, which is transferring to University of North Carolina Wilmington this fall.
While in school this semester, I had to create two movies, which I have a passion for. I love the feeling of making something that would make someone else feel some kind of connection. A moment when two people share the same feeling and understanding is something so beautiful and magical. And, since I never received my acceptance letter to Hogwarts (I believe the owl is still lost…), this is the closest I will come to having any type of magical affinity. Here are the links to those videos.
Please take a look at them. I believe they both have a message in there somewhere and I’d love to hear what you guys think it is! I’m really looking forward to posting in here (hopefully every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Just a place to post my thoughts about anything I want, and to document these vital, young years of my life to look back on someday. Or just delete… lol.
So to answer the first question from the beginning, I will be moving from living next to a dam, to living next to an ocean, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
XOXX,
Lizzie
